# Morrison Hotel?

I’ve been a Door’s fan for years. I read that the hotel on the album cover of Morrison Hotel was real and that the band had to get the pic done w/o permission. Does anyone know if the hotel still exists and if so, where it is?

I actually saw a VH1 special on these two guys who photographed album covers in the 60’s and 70’s.

They did covers for all the big bands, and they snapped the picture of the Morrison Hotel.

The story goes, as they were walking around in the seedy part of LA, looking for some neat places to shoot some possible album covers, they stumbled across the “Morrison Hotel”. So they went in and had a beer and shot the cover.

Very cool special, can’t recall the name.

I saw that special. I want to be those two guys! The program was beyond cool. It made my albums come to life.
