# Moscow Kremlin an the Russian Orthodox Church.

I have already said I believe the penalty is too harsh. What I object to is the wholesale disqualification of a whole country and culture due to what we all consider too harsh penalty.

By that standard there is not one country or culture which can get a pass.

I just object to wholesale disqualification of a culture or country which is something I see to often. China, Muslims, whatever, why is it acceptable to disqualify the entire culture due to something we disagree with?

And why when we disagree with something in America do we not disqualify the entire culture and country?

So, if Russia has not moved from its “Medieval Viking background” because of a harsh penalty then where does that put America? And yet I see posts critizicing individuals or laws or policies of America and yet do not condemn the entire country.

My suggestion to those who call other countries backwards and medieval is that they could try to improve things in America where there is still plenty of “medieval” to go around. That is all.

I think you’re just paying too much attention to empty rhetoric instead of focusing on a pretty important political issue.
