I am going to rule out any Reality Show personalities, because I know the new Big Brother cast would run away with it. I am going to nominate Meridith Vierra of the View and Millionare. ---

I’ll go ahead and nominate Bill Walton Does Rush Limbaugh still have a TV show? Tom Green’s pretty friggin annoying. (with the exception of Screech) I’ll take exception with the saved by the bell cast nomination Tiffani Theisen- currently creepy anorexic, but not annoying Mario Lopez- he’s ok on his pet show Zack - (forget his name) but he’s pretty tough on NYPD blue If it were just Dustin Diamond (I think now a regular on Star Dates) I could see it. ---

I am incapable of looking at Meredith Viera without thinking about the fact that she doesn’t wear underpants. Way TM freakin’ I. My nominee, however, is John Stossel. What a smug SOB he is. ---

Meredith Viera made a point of mentioning her lack of underwear quite often when _The View_ first started. It was also common joke fodder on SNL and _Talk Soup_. My nominations: Starr Jones - just an unappealing mess on all levels. With a diva attitude on top of it all. Joy Behar - Unfunny, annoying, and dumb. That voice just makes it worse. Chris Matthews - Not as clever as he thinks he is, plus he gets small details wrong constantly in his attempts to show off. Plus anyone who brags about catching malaria because it’s a “macho disease” deserves another dose of it. Art Mann - How has this untalented, ugly, mumbled-mouthed twit kept a job at E!, the most shallow and look obsessed of cable networks, for so long? He ruins any segment of _Wild On_ he appears in just by talking or leering at the women who are only talking to him because they want on TV . When he fills in on _Coming Attractions_ he mumbles his way through the patter on the teleprompter and then ad libs lame jokes about the movies. What a joke. Jimmy Kimmel - Kind of a fatter, more successful version of Art Mann. Proof that talent is not needed to make it on TV these days. He’s been a second banana until he got that pathetic talk show of his, and now we can see why. Plus he’s responsible for crap like _Crank Yankers, The Man Show_, and _I’m With Busey_ he has his own little hemisphere in the vast wasteland of TV. E. D. Hill - Totally riding on her looks over at Fox News. She’s perfect for that early morning mess of a show they have, lots of hearsay and flag-waving passed off as news and interviews. I once saw her fill in during one of those half hour news updates, she could barely get the words out of her mouth, she was so used to spouting off rather than reading a news script. So annoying she’d be perfect on _The View_. ---

There are a number of people on TV that I find annoying – so I avoid them. However, there are few that seem to be beyond Escaping: Hildy Santos from Trading Spaces, Ty the carpenter from the same show, Regis and Kelly, another vote for Katie Couric and I’ll raise you Stone Phillips. Montel and pretty much anyone else who engages in Holier than thou television talk like that, Most anyone on Cable News, plus there are local celebs I’d like to see have to get a real job. My favorite here is a guy name Terry Minors who also does more commercials than anyone in the history of television, and all of them bad, metal scraping across a chalkboard annoying beyond words. ---

Bill Walton is easily the most annoying TV personality. He never fails to call a different person or team the “greatest of all time.” A big fuckin idiot IMHO. ---

Jay Leno annoys the hell out of me. I don’t find him funny at all–especially when he’s talking with a guest. He talks over them and tries so hard to get in all his lame jokes that he hardly gives them a chance to say anything. And he always starts speaking in the most godawful fake accents whenever he’s got an international celebrity on. ---

Earlier I meant to say Geraldo, but after I realized that he doesn’t really annoy me (the instant his name or face appears or it’s mentioned he will be up next, it’s either switch channels to anything else, or hit mute and walk away from the tube) I figured I’d stay with the ones that I will at least leave on until I can mute them off. I won’t watch O’Reilly, but if the subject is at all interesting, I will endure Matthews. Anybody watch the court shows during the day? They have replaced soaps at our place. I get to hear them through the wall and the Divorce Court judge (not to mention the imbeciles in the courtroom) drives me batty. I can tolerate the others, but DC is pit city. As a general rule, I only watch TV when I know non-annoying people are apt to be present. I prefer using the “comments button” when the occasion arises.
