This, of course, is complete lunacy 😉 .

I happen to love, love, love Green Acres. I’m convinced it is the very pinnacle of Western Civilization and is, in reality, extremely subtle, nuanced, and a show of incredible depth.

Either that, or I was usually so baked out of my head that it seemed that way at the time.
No, Green Acres is **that** good.

And I was about to protest the Mr. Haney nomination because, hey, that guy is great. But to Oliver, Haney has to be the most annoying person he knows. Every time Oliver is in a bind and needs something, Haney shows up with it and charges for every little part and service.

People are going to start avoiding Central VA in droves if we keep this up.

Hmmm…maybe not such a bad idea…
I don’t feel too terribly embarassed to admit that I watch this show, but Andy is my favorite part and I watch it in spite of the whiny wife character. Good god, does that actress have any other reactions in her reperatoire than “Awwwwwww, honeeeeeeeeeeeey” squeaked out in that mousy voice? Gack, what a totally unappealing woman / character.
You mean Cheryl?

I’d do her. 😃 Courtney Thorne-Smith is definitely at the top of my MILF list. I missed her during her pregnancy.

Herman Munster.
Darren, from _Bewitched_.

_Both_ were uptight pricks.
Agreed. OTOH, **Hank** Hill must die, preferably by some means lingering and humorous involving propane and propane accessories.
Wait, what do you have against Hank? Nice guy, takes care of his family, reasonably intelligent. Kind of a short temper, and really repressed, but he really knows his pornography.
Nedry was eaten by a lone _Dilophosaurus_. In a Jeep. It was the annoying jerk in _JPII_ who got eaten by the _Compsagnathus_ususes.

Of course, Burke’s uppance came as well. So there’s that, too.
In the first book, Jurassic Park, John Hammond meets his end that way–death by tiny dinos! I guess they didn’t want to kill off kindly old Richard Attenborough.

ETA: I’m not feeling the Hank Hill hate either. He’s not the funnest guy in the world, but he’s (unintentionally) hilarious, a good husband/father/provider, loving, though maybe not all that expressive.
I also found Jaga to be worse. He was a smarmy half-naked bastard who’s sole purpose was the state the obvious. And be smarmy.
Well, to be fair, someone needed to state the obvious because Lion-o was pretty dim. (Yeah, yeah, kid’s mind in an adult’s body, I know. Still, you’re _Lord of the Thundercats_, man! Sharpen up!)

Most of my answers have already been said, but I’ll add Eve from _Angel_ .

I pretty much hate any head cheerleader/ high school queen bee/most popular girl in school character, as I had issues with these people in high school. That’s why I refuse to watch Gossip Girl; from the promos I’ve seen, that show seems to be entirely populated with those types.

Aha! I think I was conflating the “Q gets turned into a human” episode with this one:
Yes, but he’s kidding. No one thinks he’s remotely seriously, or remotely interested in being anything like actual crew member. And I seem to recall that this is the episode in which he introduces the Federation to the Borg (No, I am NOT conceding that anything on Voyager ever happened!), so his motives are a trifle suspect.

Actually … to me, just about every main character in that show is horrible, _except_ Hank. Peggy in particular of course, and Bobby, and all of Hank’s buddies, family and neighbours.

Horrible, but funny. 😉

The Professor on Gilligan’s Island. He’s totally useless. Once I got old enough (middle school) I wanted to reach into the TV and throttle the guy. How can someone supposedly so smart not figure out how to off Gilligan so he can’t screw up any more schemes for escape? There were many opportunities, like when the cannibals arrived, the Professor, who conveniently knew their obscure spoken dialect, could have told them to enjoy the skinny one as a welcome gift from the white people. He could then work a deal for them to give him a boat or something. Dumbass.

Barney Fife was the pre-Peggy Hill. Phyllis Lindstrom was a female pre-Peggy Hill.

The little boy on “The Danny Thomas Show.” Acting was screaming cheeky lines that real boys would get pimpslapped for saying. He could have been replaced by a lamp without affecting the plot.

Fool of a Took!

The Professor was far too righteous and noble to murder or betray a comrade, even one so feckless as Gilligan. Moreover, he was doing both Mary Ann (his first choice for obvious reasons) AND Ginger (when Mary Ann was either ovulating or headachey), so he didn’t really want to leave the island.

I agree, if I had to count on any of the castaways, it would be The Professor first and maybe Jonas Grumby second.

If the Professor were more _wise_, he would have made sure that Gilligan was nowhere around when the “get off the island” plan was in motion.
