Yep, many many factors affect physical attractiveness for me, even stuff which I’m not sure would be considered physical like voice or the way she moves. Why the hate on those who are attracted to both or to neither? More seriously, are you _sure_ that male androphiles have the same thoughts on these attractiveness issues as female androphiles? That female gynephiles have the same thoughts as male gynephiles? Me, I suspect that gay men may not be the exact same as straight women, and that lesbians may not be the exact same as straight men, and chose not to lump them together. Again, not totally disinterested in what they think, but gay attractiveness is not the main point of interest in this thread. If you are interested in that more then don’t be lazy, have some imagination, and create a thread to ask the question. I won’t as a straight cis-gender non-fluid male be offended that I am not being given a poll option, promise. ---

I’ve written elsewhere that I identify as genderqueer (in general) and as a male girl-type person (more specifically). If the strong appetite-response to visual perception of examples of one’s desired orientation is a hard-wired male characteristic, (and I’m not saying that it is, or that female folks are less geared that way, just acknowledging that there exists a notion that this is so), I seem to be wired that way, so I’m considering it part of the body and not the gender identity. On a concurrent thread, **UrbanRedneck** was asking whether feminist men still get the hots for women’s bods. There’s also been a strand of attitude hither and yon in both threads that sexual objectification is not entirely the coolest thing. It’s complicated. I’ve spent a fair amount of time thinking about it over the years. I don’t know for sure that it doesn’t make me a creepy sexist lecherous person but I do try to constrain my ogling to non-annoying and non-obvious glimpses and peekings. I don’t think that someone being a pretty female makes them a good choice for partner (or a bad choice either for that matter). I don’t get involved with women because they’re pretty. I find the overwhelming majority of female folks entirely pretty _enough_ to move on to more important considerations, and I tend to treat the whole phenomenon of being visually-sexually stimulated as if it were the female sex in the aggregate placing advertisements. ---

I like a great pair of breasts as much I like a great face – which is _plenty_ – but that’s where the breasts top out, while the face is just getting started. Like, if I’m staring at a woman’s chest while it’s just doing its thing and she suddenly licks her lips and gives me the come-hither look? And I _miss_ that? I’d never forgive myself! I _want_ to see a woman gasp right as her eyes go wide and her mouth forms a round ‘O’ of surprise. I _want_ to see a woman deliver a cruel smirk while archly raising an eyebrow like a dominatrix. I _want_ to see a warm smile or eye-rolling exasperation; I want the _cliché_ of her eyes going heavy-lidded as she licks an ice-cream cone; I want something _expressive,_ dammit: pretty breasts are fantastic, but a pretty face is fantastic when it isn’t doing anything and it’s _better when it’s expressive._ The way I see it, legs can’t compete with that; and stomach can’t compete with that; and the only reason ass is even in _contention_ is because I’ll sometimes get an eyeful without worrying that I’ll miss something ex-tra-ord-in-ary going on upstairs. ---
