Just one from this area: George Reeves – TV’s Superman and one of the Tarleton boys in Gone With the Wind – was born in my little town. The little house where he was born was just torn down a couple weeks ago. A local group tried to raise money to restore it but the effort failed, for lots of reasons. ---

I was born in Paisley, Scotland. Same place as David Tennant. Where I live now, in Lanarkshire, I can think of David Livingston and Sheena Easton. Interesting combination. ---

Baseball great Harmon Killebrew, who [left us yesterday](http://msn.foxsports.com/mlb/story/Minnesota-Twins-Harmon-Killebrew-dies-at-74-051711) (R.I.P.) Walter (Big Train) Johnson…another baseball noteable from 'way back Footballer Jerry Kramer lived on a ranch about ten miles from here for a long time, but has since moved out of state. (and a couple of local bars closed for lack of business). Paul Revere (the rock-n-roller, not the midnight rider) Acter George Kennedy is retired here Bandsman Doc Severinsen is said to have a retirement home nearby, but if so he’s very reclusive…no one I know has ever seen him. ---

I had to check the Wiki, but apparently Alex Trebek was born here. Also a whack of hockey players, but that’s nothing of note; pretty much any town in Ontario can lay claim to that one. ---
