Yes, shame on me for posting a youtube clip in which a guy tricks a fast food joint into feeding some homeless people. I am clearly an evil person. I’m going to hand myself in at the nearest prison first thing tomorrow.
Yeah, we all know the Isle of Man doesn’t have any fast food places anyway
It doesn’t have any good ones. Just McDs and Kentucky Fried Pigeon.
That’s not all you did. You called it “good-natured” and it clearly wasn’t. Then you backed off when we called you on it. You’re right that none of this really matters and we’re taking it too seriously…outisde this thread. Inside it, however, all your ideas are fair game.
Am I the only one bothered by the apparent suggestion that multinational corporations are necessarily evil?
[hijack]Does anyone know if there’s a name for this type of argument? Someone is losing a debate, and he gives up on supporting his position and instead attacks the very notion of having the argument in the first place. I’ve seen it quite a bit lately, but I haven’t been able to find a formal name for it. Anyone know what it’s called?[/hijack]
You know, despite my earlier comments, perhaps we should lay off of Lobsang. I mean, even though some of us may disagree with what was portrayed, I don’t think it’s worth piling on Lobsang over. And to be fair to him as well, I don’t think any of us have answered his question of “good natured” pranks we may have seen, so perhaps we should guide this derailed thread back on track.
What we are led to believe is that most of them exist for one purpose: To make as much money as possible for those at the top, at the expense of the 95% or more who own 5% or less of the world’s wealth.
We live in a world where a tiny portion of the population possess the majority of the wealth, and that is just fucked up.
I appreciate your post. Let’s move on from the side-issue of whether the vid in the OP was good or bad and post your own examples of good natured pranks… or even vids that just show good nature in action prank or not.
I have spent a couple of my schedule picket duty assignments while I am on strike working at a food bank that is near my union hall. The shelves are almost bare and things are not supposed to be getting any better in the near future. With the economy the way it is and with more layoffs looming in the future, there is no way food banks are going to come close to serving everyone that uses thier services. I haven’t had a paycheck since early September and my only income has been my $150 a week strike check. I felt so bad the last time I was worked there I gave them my check, I am not anywhere close to going hungry, they needed the money a lot more than I did. I would guess many of the food programs that serve the homeless are also in the same boat.
Have you ever seen the pictures of the cubicles, or rooms, that have had everything wrapped in aluminium foil? That’s a dedicated, and I think, relatively harmless prank.
This prank is pretty awesome.
So there I was driving about at 11:30 a couple of hours ago on a warm early November night, towing a sizable trailer with a large load of snow in it. The evening’s plans had gone awry, leaving me humming to myself:
[Monks]I’ve got snow in my trailer and I don’t know what to do with it,
snow in my trailer, snow in my trailer.
I’VE GOT SNOW IN MY TRAILER AND I DON’T KNOW WHAT TO DO WITH IT,
snow in my trailer, snow in my trailer.[/Monks]
Well the good news is that I didn’t let all that snow go to waste.
The bad news is the fellow who owns one of the local ski shops is in for a “What the fuck?” moment when he arrives at work tomorrow.
The ninja snow dumper strikes again.
