I hate them all!! Hate, hate, hate. :mad: I do, however, like Tchaikovsky’s **Nutcracker** , despite having performed it many dozens of times (the full ballet as well as the suite). I don’t go out of my way to listen to it, but I when I have to play it I don’t grumble that much. When I have to play “Sleigh Ride” or some other tacky montage of schlocky holiday tunes, well, let’s just say I’d better be paid well and have enough time off to get a stiff drink. **Messiah** ’s ok; I like Handel. ---

\*\*Little Drummer Boy \*\* is at the bottom of my Xmas list. I just hate that song! Mrs. Danalan bought the video (a $3.00 DVD, I think), and I’m waiting for an opportunity to make it disappear. After Xmas she’ll forget she bought it, then it’s history. I also hate the Jackson 5’s cover of **Santa Claus is Coming to Town**. It’s a pretty good cover until little Michael says “little toy doll’s that _toodle_ and coo”. Toodle? It should be _Toddle_. Pisses me off. And weren’t they Jevhovah’s Witness’es or something? Pure commercial crap. ---

Earlier I mentioned being conflicted about _Little altar Boy_. What I am not conflicted about is my hatred for Gloria Estefan’s rendering of _Winter Wonderland_. They (the producers) go to all the trouble of reuniting the Singers Unlimited to provide a gorgeous _a capella_ vocal background for the song, and she can’t even be bothered to stay on pitch. That’s just lazy and disrespectful of the talents and efforts of four consummate musicians for whom she is evidently unqualified to turn the pages. I just hope that Gene, Bonnie, Don and Jack got paid a hundred thousand dollars for that gig. ---

Dear God, I heard the worst one ever and not at work (for once), but on the radio. I smashed the knob clear into the dashboard before I could figure out what carol it was, but remember the barking dogs? Replace them with _crying babies_! ---
