The worst part of the Peekaboo ad, besides everything, is that you think it’s over, you hear the announcer telling the name of the product, and suddenly that curly-haired children-of-the-corn motherfucker pops up at the end. ---

That Peekaboo one wins by a mile. Holy shit, that’s annoying. I have great sympathy for those with children who have to listen to that. ---

I don’t know much about HSUS, but Charity Navigator gives them 3 of 4 stars. But it appears that the current rating is end of year 2013, so perhaps a bit out of date? I don’t have any of my info on what was going on with it as I had a computer crash and lost all of my bookmarks but I do know they were or still are in danger of no longer being licensed as a charity. Something about not using the money donated for the things that they claim it will be, and the IRS. Exactly! Why Do I have to mute the TV so I also don’t have to listen to all of the (in some cases, fake) mewling about the sick children, the abused pets. There are four or five different ads on frequent rotation right now that drive even my husband to mute the TV, and he only see about four hours of it a day. ---

If, as it appears, you’re not time-shifting your viewing, the obvious question is: why aren’t you muting EVERY commercial and restoring sound when the probram resumes? ---
