It’s a Wonderful Life was named as the [Most Inspiring Movie](http://www.cnn.com/2006/SHOWBIZ/Movies/06/15/afis.most.inspiring.ap/index.html?section=cnn_latest).

Ok, whatever. Not having seen it, I don’t really know. But what got my panties all in a bunch was that ROCKY made the list.

Rocky? _Rocky?!_ Are you kidding me?

No one ever better make fun of Indian movies again.

> 1. “It’s a Wonderful Life,” 1946
> 2. “To Kill a Mockingbird,” 1962
> 3. “Schindler’s List,” 1993
> 4. “Rocky,” 1976
> 5. “Mr. Smith Goes to Washington,” 1939
> 6. “E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial,” 1982
> 7. “The Grapes of Wrath,” 1940
> 8. “Breaking Away,” 1979
> 9. “Miracle on 34th Street,” 1947
> 10. “Saving Private Ryan,” 1998

I agree with every other one but Rocky fills me with much grr.

Someone beat you to starting this Thread.
[See Here](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=375780)

But I was inspired by your effort.

P.S. _Rocky_ is tainted by how terribly the franchise got out of hand, and the poor choices Stallone has made since. But the original film is quite good.
