But Ed Norton’s character doesn’t die in Fight Club, and even if he did, the last thing he says in the movie is “You met me at a very interesting time in my life”.

Fredo Corleone (John Cazale) in **The Godfather, Part II**.

Hey! It’s one I know. Well, I know the movie–_Big Jake_. Quite a few characters say that to John Wayne throughout the movie.

Well, I don’t know which one of them actually said the line, I just remember KA-BLAM! - roll credits, and me sitting there saying “What the _FUCK_ was that?!”

It was like a throwback to the Hayes Code days where the crooks, even if they were the movie’s most sympathetic characters, had to face justice in the end. In this case, it was the VERY end, literally seconds before the credits and with no warning or foreshadowing whatsoever.

Bryan, I remember when the movie came out. I saw it at the drive in and it was a fucking awesome ending, or so I thought. Right up there with the ending of Carrie. Recall the first time you saw Carrie and that damned hand grabbed her. You know, totally unexpected.
Who said it? Probably Mary…the bitch never shut up, did she?

How about… “It’s been quite a party.”

What do you mean…no foreshadowing? You can see that stupid train in a shot about every 15 minutes, all through the movie. Yes, it was a shock, but it didn’t come out of nowhere. 😃

Yes, I’ve seen the movie too. That makes three of us.

hmm, you’re right, \*_Dooku_, I suppose I did combine two death scenes. Faulty memory on my part. I’ve just always thought “Wait! Wait!” was the dumbest dying line ever.

Here’s another, as I’m having trouble finding ones I know that haven’t been solved…

“My child, you have come to me my son. For who now is your father if it is not me? I am the well spring from which you flow. When I am gone, you will have never been. What would your world be, without me? My son…”

Wait a minute on screen Bill Carson’s (the name he was going under at the time) Last words heard were “Gah gahh Water…”
But I guess that answer above would have been his last words

If you’re thinking of Jaws in Moonraker, he didn’t die. Bond gets a radio message a moment later saying something to the effect that a pod containing a man and a woman has been rescued.

Really? I always thought they both died - I don’t remember hearing that radio message. Damn.

I think a simple “Hey, Dude, watch out for that train,” would have sufficed.

“Always look on the bright side of life…”

“…the hardest thing in this world is to live in it. Be brave. Live. For me.” (Ok, it’s not a movie. So sue me.)

“Make a wish, Lo.”

“Now take me to the Garden.” (Last words we hear, anyway.)
