The Lone Gunmen from the X-Files.
Wow, I guess it’s been a long time—I can see the scene in my head (the Korean woman is cursing at Hawkeye as she is being taken to her excecution) but instead of the South Korean Officer, I saw Col. Flagg.
Another good bit character was from Fraiser; Daphne’s brother Simon (Anthony LaPaglia) was always great, and his accent was so bad it was almost melodic…
Zathras, for the win…
Yeah, I was coming in here to mention Zathras, too, after being reminded by another thread. He was only in, what, three episodes?
To be clear, though, do you mean Zathras, or Zathras? I always liked Zathras better, myself.
I don’t think they count as minor characters, seeing as they were in the opening credits.
ANY of Phoebe’s relatives from Friends.–sister Ursula, brother Frank Jr . and his wife Alice, father Frank and biological mother Phoebe.
Yeah. My first thought on seeing the thread was Arnold Horshack, but he’s more of a supporting character than a minor character.
Harry the Hat on *Cheers *would have to be up there, I suppose. So would the kid selling chocolates and Mets memorabilia on NYPD Blue.
Winner!
Some of these really don’t qualify. Lenny and Squiggy? Horshack? Larry, Darryl, and Darryl? They don’t count as minor if they’re in every episode and get the biggest laughs on the show. Urquel wasn’t minor either.
Arrested Development had quite a few. Annyong, Cindy Lightballoon (Jane Lynch once again!), Ice, White Power Bill, Maggie Lizer, Bride of Gob, Bob Loblaw…
I think that Wayne Jarvis was my favorite, though.
I came here to say Bob Loblaw (Scott Baio) and Larry Middleman (Bob Einstein aka Super Dave Osborne) from Arrested Development.
Carleton, your doorman.
Bucky Dornster, the sound technician from WKRP. In two episodes, the softball game one, and the Del’s Stereo and Sound one.
Arrested Development: I loved Dave Thomas as Trevor, Rita’s chain-smoking British uncle.
