I asked which ones were “obvious” or “most obvious”. I did not want a list of all untaken “the X” band names. Furthermore, this desire of mine is obvious from my OP and first response. I guess I can stay off my meds after all. ---

It sounds like the name of a Woody Allen movie. But even if you’re right that they’d all be fine rock band names, they’re not at all equally obvious or likely. ---

If you think it’s a stupid idea for a thread, why post in it? I started thinking of insect names (because of the Beatles and Crickets). Apparently there is a band called the Fire Flies. I can’t find anything for Butterflies. There is a group called the Bees. On Gilligan’s Island there was a group called the Mosquitoes but I don’t think there was in real life… ---

Personally I’m getting sick of band names. Performers should just use their own given names. Lennon, McCartney, Harrison, Starr. The John Lennon Band. McCartney et al. and so on. ---
