# Most powerful narcotic?

What is the most powerful narcotic (opiate specifically). I was just wondering. I thought it was probably herion or morphine. But my research has come up with some different info. Hydromorphone (Dilaudid) and Fetanyl are many many times the strength of morphine or herion! Anyway, can anybody shine some light on this subject? A list in order of strength would be cool. By the way, this type of stuff interests me, nothing weird going on, just wondering.

Fentanyl is the champ by a long shot. See [this web page](http://www.globalrph.com/narcotic.htm) for a table comparing the potencies of common narcotic analgesics.

But sufentanyl is 5 to 10 times more potent than fentanyl. **Chooseybeggar** ’s list did not cover all the opiates.
