That was from Goodyear, right? My dad worked for them and got the first couple of years of records, then stopped as he didn’t like how they were going to pop versions of the songs. ---

Mariah Carey is the Christmas Queen these days. I grew up listening to all the oldies Nat King Cole sounded best, but most fond memories of Mitch Miller and his gang on their sing a long Christmas albums. ---

It’s not Christmas for me without a couple of spins of “Fairytale of New York” so I’ll go with The Pogues and Kirsty MacColl. I didn’t grow up listening to Christmas albums, though I guess they’re a thing (either Kevin or Bean, from the old KROQ morning crew, had a well-known collection of Christmas albums as a hobby). So I can only really think of one-offs. ---

Yeah, Der Bingle comes to mind right away. He pretty much monopolized the market for awhile. But anymore, I tire of his gargling quickly. I’m also completely burned out on The Carpenters. ---

Brian Setzer has 5 Christmas albums, 6 if you include the compilation album of Christmas albums. And at least one live DVD of his Christmas Extravaganza which went on for over a decade.
