No, I’m not doing a poll. But over the course of the franchise while there have been some spectacularly hot seductions there have also some spectacularly bad ones. And I’m not talking about the relative hotness of the Bond girl herself but rather Bond’s technique for getting her into bed. I mean the ones where there’s no real attempt to pretend that any actual seduction or attraction happened; it’s just a movie convention that they’ve stuck in for the titillation factor. Here are my examples: Manuela from _Moonraker_. Bond gets to Brazil, meets up with his contact and basically immediately starts taking her clothes off without any preamble. Seems a bit presumptuous, no? But she goes along with it because he’s Bond and hey, that’s how he rolls. May Day from _A View To A Kill_. Amusingly lampshades the previous practice of beautiful women turning up in Bond’s bed unannounced, but come on… Strawberry Fields from _Quantum of Solace_. They’re not even trying any more. It’s basically “Look - you’re a beautiful woman with a ridiculous pun of a name, I’m James Bond, the audience knows we’re going to sleep together and I can’t even be bothered to come up with a clever seduction line. Let’s just do it so you can die and I can avenge you with enough time left to pick up some other chick.” What are your worst Bond pick-up moments? ---

The silliest has to be his “conversion” of Pussy Galore in _Goldfinger_. Bond is so masculine he makes lesbians switch sides, in more ways than one! ---

Another one from “You Only live Twice”: Bond held captive by Helga Brandt [pic](http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0233312/). Convinces her that he’s merely a corporate spy with what appears to be very little effort or proof. (Was she supposed to be inexperienced?) Goes from “Holy crap! She’s going to skin me alive!” to “Let’s get to knocking boots.” in almost no time flat. ---

Not a seduction, but Mr Demitrious (sp?) of \*Casino Royale \* does get super fucked. bond takes his car, wife and life…in the space of about 3 hours. Mrs Demitrious’s seduction is also quite unbelievable, she thinks it’s a good idea to go home with the guy who just won her maniac husbands car. Unless, a deleted scene had them bet on her as well, it was quite stupid all round.
