I’m still not sold that it’s not a fake. Wouldn’t the risk of ex-Bambis sueing the company for blindness/severe bruising be too high? I mean, gave you every been hit by a paintball on skin? They _hurt_. _ahem,_ apparently _ahem_ even most S&M stuff doesn’t leave permenant marks or cause prolonged pain.
I’m guessing that the owner is only in it for the publicity to see other products.

Apparently they get 2500 bucks for doing this, not too shabby. I have a hard time getting outraged at something thats completely voluntary, hell for 2500 bucks i’d take my naked ass out there and test my ball protecting skills. People have done worse things for money.

They’re not only volunteering to be shot at, but are being paid $1,00 ($2,500 if they make it through without getting hit) to do it, even. _shrugs_ If they want to. Seems like a hell of an easy way to make a grand or two.

I guess one could say that this is part of the sex industry. What I find scary is that anything that is out on the market, be it goat felching or this, is there because it can be sold. There are actually people who’re willing to fork up money to watch this. And that tells me more than I want to know about humanity.

The guys that are out there actually shooting at the girls are paying 5-10,000$ for the privilege apparently so there are people out there willing to fork out ALOT of money for this. How does one come up with an idea like this anyways? “Billy bob look at this, i finally came up for a way to combine my three favorite things: guns, masturbation, and sadomasochism into a get rich quick scheme!”

I say its bullshit. Or if it isn’t then the guy running the show needs to be busted pronto. According to the news report these women wear no protective gear except tennis shoes. If you ain’t wearing eye protection then paintball is very dangerous and potentially fatal. (think about a paintball striking the eyeball and you can figure out the rest).

You know what’s sick? Its taking a perfectly good thread, and claiming it as your own. I find it incredibly hard to believe that you just stumbled upon this when it has recently been discussed in [THIS THREAD](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?threadid=197038)!
None of us had the courage to outright place the link, choosing instead to throw hints so the SDMB would not be connected.

I’ve got a real problem with them: they have an image claiming to be uncensored but:
1. They misspell it.
2. They write “UNSENSORED” in big red letters across a woman’s breasts. Oh, the irony.
_What?_ Oh.
OK, seriously, people have a right to pretend whatever they want, even if a lot of people think it’s sick. But that stops when it gets dangerous - paintballing with no padding is dangerous. Do they use special more harmless paintballs? Well they don’t even mention safety, which is what puts them beyond the pale.
OK, people probably have a right to a bit of S&M in private. Though I probably draw the line where someone’s just being paid to be hurt. But people here appear to be risking losing an eye, and they don’t seem to have been warned at all (hope I’m wrong), which is definately out. Hope we don’t get into a GD, but I thought my post needed a disclaimer.

I think there are better things to aim your dislike.
Some fool coughs out 10k to hunt women with a paintballgun
3 different women are paid 1k to 2.5k to be hunted by said fool.
the fact they do this without face/eye protection is a very bad thing. But, hey, if they are to greedy to say no and do get hurt… just a bit of weeding from the herd ya know?
I think it is a damn dumb things to do, either being the hunter or the hunted, but I cannot understand how any rage can be build up over this.

You never repeated jokes you heard somewhere, never giving credit to where you think you may have heard it, and basked in the moment where everyone laughs and thinks you are a swell guy and waits for you to tell another one?
If this has never happened to you, then by all means, continue to get all bent out of shape over Muad’Dib starting this thread.
If you have done this (repeated jokes to look like the life of the party), then lay off.
