Most successful SNL alum?

This was obviously the correct answer all along.

He’s married not just to Morgan Fairchild, but also to Cindy Crawford AND Kathy Ireland. And he was offered the job of King of England, but turned it down. John Goodman took that gig for a while but ended up quitting.

no matter how he chooses to portray himself in his movies, it has nothing to do with how successful he is. will farrell plays a moron exclusively and is wildly successful. the point you seem to miss the point that he owns his own movie production company, so after hes done paying the actors (which are almost always spots filled by his friends) and whatever crew and budget, all the rest of that profit goes in his pocket. Just because he plays a “schmuck” in his movies doesnt meant that’s how he really is. I know quite a few people that have met him and said he was really cool and down to earth, even though hes filthy rich.

And to think, when he started out he didn’t have a dime to his name. He didn’t even HAVE a name! He couldn’t afford it!

Yeah, but even that Oscar was one of those ‘sorry we screwed you’ pity Oscars.

Uh, excuse me. I assume you’re talking about his role as Charlie Chaplin, but Robert Downey Jr. also portrayed the greatest actor of all time, that being five-time Academy Award winner Kirk Lazarus. Perhaps you remember Kirk from his starring role oppposite MTV Movie Awards Best Kiss winner Tobey Maguire in the film that took home the Beijing Film Festival’s coveted Crying Monkey Award, Satan’s Alley?

Five Academy Awards. No one has ever pretended to be a more successful actor than that!

Dan Aykroyd seems to be more successful as an investor and businessman than as a highly paid actor. http://blogs.marketwatch.com/encore/2012/12/04/aykroyds-new-sequel-an-encore-career/
