I think funerals and wakes should be family oriented. The media should not have been invited. I know she had fans who loved her and that’s fine, but a person deserves dignity in death. Bobby Brown being her ex had a right to attend, you don’t forfeit your right by being a jerk. As well as his kids, who from all reports were close to Whitney. If they wanted to have celebrities and singing they could hold a public memorial service after. ---

I’d have to say the fact that the family is now planning on selling the footage of the funeral to ensure that Bobbie ( ? ) Christina has enough money to live off of. Because her multi-platinum-selling parents’ royalties, plus ( probably, but admittedly i’m guessing ) a hefty life insurance policy isn’t enough. And god forbid she maybe consider, like most 18 year olds, figuring out what she’d like to do with her life other than drugs and alcohol and maybe make her own way. Nope, gotta sell the footage of the funeral to the highest bidder. ---

And if mods are going to preemptively break up “almost” fights then yes, I’d like to see an actual insult occur first. ---

How about the craziness of the state of New Jersey putting its flags at half-mast for Whitney Houston. Seriously, isn’t that supposd to be an honor reserved for statesmen or war heroes? Not for people who had it all and then threw it away using drugs and alcohol. ---

I think she’ll need all that for her therapy fund! Not only did that poor girl have to deal with having two celebrity parents, which can’t be easy with Papparazzi and fans knocking you down to get to your parents, but both parents were hard drug users. And now her mom, who I have no doubt loved her, even though she was screwed up, is dead. Poor thing doesn’t stand a chance. What a shame. ---

That’s good modding. As for the OP, I thought the funeral was a little over the top. I think they decided to celebrate who she was at her peak, not who she ended up becoming. I have no problem with that. ---

No, Clarence Clemons and Harry Shatel (the winningiest high school baseball coach in the state) got their half-mast flag days too.
