Cousin and I shared an apartment. Had a big Halloween party. Dry ice vapor, the works. People where wandering in off the street. I was Frank-N-Furter. Cousin was Magenta. But we ended up just looking some random S&M people. I did Guido Sardocci one year. Had the hat, and owned one of those frock coats. Had to find a cross. Already had a mustache. Costume was easy, the accent, not so much. I kept getting out of charactor. Brother and I where rock climbers one year. Very uninventive. All we had to do is gear up. I did work in a haunted house one year. It was an abandoned industrial building. So it was perfect. We put up walls and stuff to make a path. I startled one guy so much, he jumped through the wall. Fun times. ---

It was both creepy and funny, especially when the midget (excuse me, “little person”) in it tried to hit on Catherine Willows by saying (to the best of my recollection) “Have you ever been kissed on the navel by a man half your height?” 🤣 OMG, that was like 20+ years ago! 😣 How time flies… ---

It was… oh 20 people involved. My good friend was heading up a lot of the stuff. He wanted to break into SFX (Special Effects) so he was into making props. Was really fun when I was ~25 years old. I liked going as BubbleMan, the superhero with amazing powers of floatation. I just made a suit out of bubble pack, complete with a cape and the letters BM on the chest. It got a lot of attention; people liked to pop BM’s bubbles. ---

In college 1 year I was Amy Carter, and another year Queen Elizabeth 2. For context, I am a 6’3" male. No, neither looked at al convincing. But I did gain an appreciation for how comfortable skirts are. ---

One year I went as Freddy Krueger’s grandma. I wore a pull-over rubber fright mask (a slavering psycho that covered the whole head) along with a full-length flannel nightgown, big fuzzy slippers and a frilly night cap. The hostess opened the door and looked horrified as she had no idea who I was. ---

I found a jumpsuit from a cancelled nuclear power plant at a discount store (Building 19 1/8?) that had extremely long legs. Since I couldn’t walk on stilts, I cut them off and made an extra arm to sew onto one side, rigged to my arm above it. I think I added a 3rd eye on my forehead and went as a nuclear power plant mutant. Cool costume, wicked hot to wear. ---
