What on earth makes people think they have the right to even touch other people’s propery? Currently licensed for Colorado, worked for GEICO last year–Comp claims will not raise your premium. Will not\*. That includes weather damage, theft, vandalism, fire, and hitting an animal. However, swerving to avoid an animal and hitting a telephone pole is Collision, so hit the squirrel. \*If you start sending in a whole lot of claims they may refuse coverage at some point. ---

I feel for you. My (now ex) girlfriend had this happen a few weeks ago. Came out in the morning to find that the drunken frat boy party across the street had jumped up and down on her hood the night before. What asshats. In her case, it wasn’t too bad, and I even offered to pound it out myself (although, I suppose the train has sailed on that one. Tough break, dear.) to save her the money. It was an old car, so it doesn’t really matter how it looks. It just rattled a lot, which was annoying. ---
