I FINALLY GET AN EARLY REGISTRATION DATE AND THE PIECE OF DISEASED CHODE WEBSERVER IS FUCKING OVERLOADED BECAUSE EVERYONE ELSE IN THE MOTHERFUCKING UNIVERSE IS TRYING TO REGISTER FOR CLASSES AT THE SAME MOTHERFUCKING TIME. Now all the bullshit GE classes I’m forced to take are going to fill up in the next motherfucking five minutes as every bottom-feeder on the planet snatches up every winter class they can find. Why Stately, I hear you intone rationally, Are there not other options? Can you not add classes by phone? By phone! By phone, they say! It is to laugh! Wading through a labyrinth of menus, no doubt also choked by the ceaseless ebbs of academic spunk being forced down its throat by my countless peers. Tibetan monks will get their classes before I do. ---

It sucks I know. I am taking Organic lectures II in fall, registration started on the 3rd and by the 8th about 210 of the 240 seats were filled. ---

What school are you at? When I was at the University, they let us know weeks in advance the date you could begin registering. Then you go into the office, sign up, and that was it. The web sign ups were delayed a day. ---

Everyone gets their own registration date, which can range from Fucking Early, Hell Yeah to No, You Ain’t Gonna Get Any Decent Classes Sucker. Mine is considerably towards the Fucking Early range. Mine was today at 8am. At your registration date/time, you go online or phone (ha ! ha ! ha ! ha ! ha !) and adden zee klasses. Ideally speaking that is. Now some winner is trying to get me to do his Statistics project, due two days ago, for him. Oh the things I am thinking. He is so lucky we’re in the library. ---

If, when you do finally get to sign up, you wind up not being able to fit in classes you need for your major, talk to the registrar. S/he may be able to get you into classes that are otherwise full if you really need them. Me, I signed up for my winter classes at the same time as my fall classes. ---

I don’t have to register for my classes, because my college [rocks but is bizarre](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=275093) . I had to check a spot on a form: I will be returning next semester, still living on campus, and sign it, then turn it into the registrar. Granted, it means I’ve got no choice in what classes I take (the entire curriculum is all predetermined). And also, this semester? Nine AM classes every day. Anyway…best of luck. Yeah, class registration sucks, but working sucks more so try to keep things in perspective. You can cut a few classes here and there without repercussions, but that shit don’t fly too far with your boss. Makes me almost miss college. Almost. ---

Not only did I register for class last week, but I’m full time with Fridays AND Mondays off. And, I got all the classes and professors I wanted. My last semester at school and I finally get a decent schedule. ---
