In 1987, Oregon adopted the new motto “She Flies With Her Own Wings”. I like it. We tend to be somewhat innovative, and this motto reflects that nicely, IMHO. ---

I don’t know if it’s their real motto, or just a license plate slogan, but it always cracked me up as a lad growing up in Oklahoma that all of the auto license plates had the slogan “Oklahoma is OK!” on them. Person 1: “Hey… How’s the state of Oklahoma?” Person 2: “Ahhh… it’s OK.” Now that’s enthusiasm about your state! By the way… Oklahoma Plays Nebraska at 12:00 EST this Saturday! Go Sooners! E3 ---
