It’s OK. Better than Code Red, but not as good as Livewire, IMHO. Now if you want to talk nasty soda, whatever happened to the blue Pepsi? That stuff tasted like blue Kool-Aid with about 5 extra cups of sugar. ---

For the squeamish, I tried some Pitch Black with varying types of alcohol the other night. The Stoli didn’t go so well, but the Mango Rum mixed excellently. Pitch black is my newest favorite thing, it is NOT just grape soda… I distinctly taste the standard citrus mountain dew base… just has a liberal dash of artificial grape flavor. Wonderful. Beats the heck out of Welch’s grape soda… plus it’s caffeinated. And BLACK! But it’s limited edition… Why does everything I love have to go away… ---

I had to give it a chance. My heart goes out to a soda that was born a poor black child to a bright green family. But it was…blah. And so I’m stickin’ to my bright green caffeine-bearing standard. ---

I tried the soda based on seeing a friend drinking it earlier, and generally loving the standard grape issue one gets from supermarkets. It was much like Code Red in making me want to vomit, and I had to force myself to finish the thing. For some reason though, I do love the orange soda, and would drink that again in an instant. But this just didn’t go over well. ---

Based on the recommendation in this thread, I picked up a bottle today. I liked it just fine as-is, except that I almost never drink non-diet drinks.
