Wow!! you guys look like you had a fantastic time. We had a similar party this weekend. I especially liek the watermelon in with the beer in the tub’o’ice’n’suds. I wish there were some doper names to go with faces… you guys look like you had a blast though. Who’s house were you at? Looks like everyone had fun!! And it was at my place, dammit! We had over 90 people at the house that day. Almost a new record for one of our parties. Do we bring the goods or what? By my count the locusts drank: 8 cases of soda 300+ beers 15 bottles of wine And a great deal of food. ---

The grayihaired gent is the father of the singer in the opening band, Disco Stu. He’s a photographer for the Smithsonian. Interesting chap in a hippy-ish sort of way. The woman is Mary Prankster, mid-atlantic punk goddess and pal of myself. She came in to do a gig for my kid sister, the recent graduate. NC on Friday, NoVA on Saturday, NC on Sunday. We’re all about the love up here. ---

The first Doper Sighting [sup]TM[/sup] (there are a coupla **DoperKids** [sup]TM[/sup] earlier) is picture 9, of **MsRobyn**. From there: Picture 10: **Hamadryad** in the way back left (the woman with the black-ish shirt? Yeah, her), someone I cannot identify (but I’d bet it’s one of her non-doper guests), and **hamafriend** and **Airman Doors**. I have a sneaky suspicion that **gobear** is just to **Airman** ’s stageleft, but I can’t be completely sure. Picture 11: **Airman Doors** in the Adidas shirt, with **Bombay Doors** on the floor with him and **Lucretian2** on the couch. That’s **Lucretian3** on a chair with **alloran the newly unbanned** (not his actual screen name). Picture 12: same (you think I’m typing all that up again?) Page 2. Picture 13: no dopers Picture 14: **MsRobyn** is in the red shirt, and I believe that’s **alloran the newly unbanned** (not his actual screen name) on the stairs. Picture 15: same as 10 but with **MsRobyn**. Picture 16: **Opalcat** and **Edward the Head** off to the left, with **Keith Berry** standing and **Theios** squatting with the beer, and **Attrayant** on the stairs. Picture 17: You’ll notice there are some backs in picture 16 and I was NOT going to spend an hour trying to figure out who they were based on back sizes. Well, here they are. **GingeroftheNorth** and **Anita Vacation** are smiling (well, Gingy is. I think Anita found out about that whole chili-root beer thing). **Attrayant** is sitting in front of them oblivious to the fact that the camera all but captured his nose hairs staging a 3-act play. **Captain Amazing** is in the blue shirt behind them and **Weirddave** is in the white shirt. I confess I don’t know who’s in the red shirt. Picture 18: **Opalkid** in the dark blue shirt, **Lucretian3** on the couch and **alloran the newly unbanned** (not his actual screen name) and **Lucretian2** on the right side. ::mentally hopes they don’t move further together in ensuing photographs.:: Picture 19: no dopers. Picture 20: Saint **Polycarp** is (thank [deity]) preventing me from being photographed. **fizzestothetop** is looking at me wondering what the hell I’m doing, and from memory I’m going to bet that’s **gobear** ’s right arm in the picture as well. Picture 22: no dopers. Picture 23: **Theios** must have dropped her beer, because there’s no other explanation for why she’s looking at the ground so mournfully. **Attrayant** seems to have dropped something of less significance. Either **Keith Berry** or **gobear** (betting on the former) is sitting on the stairs, and **Weirddave** , I _think_, has his back to the camera. No earthly idea who the guy to his right is. And just to prove I’m still anal when it counts, that’s **Lucretian1** , if I’m not mistaken, in the dark shirt on the balcony. Picture 24: Yup, that was **Keith Berry**! Next to him is … someone else. No clue who she is. Attrayant is looking oddly at a cigarette for some reason unbeknownst to the rest of us. **Weirddave** and someone else are looking as **Baby Kate** walks past. Oh, and that’s **Hamadryad** behind the guy in the red shirt. Pictures 25/6: **Lucretian3** poses for some glamour shots with a beach ball. Okay … you love it! You love it! Oooh, now you hate it! Aw, hell … just sit on it. Page 3. Picture 27: Random and assorted **DoperKids** [sup]TM[/sup]. Picture 28: **Lucretian3** has ball. Some random and assorted **DoperKids** [sup]TM[/sup] want ball. Action ensues. Picture 29: **Lucretian1** in the Hawai’ian shirt, on the same side as someone in a red shirt (pretty sure it’s not a doper) and **that\_darn\_cat** , who is obviously _not_ in a red shirt (being, as it is, blue). **fizzestothetop** is in the white shirt and I’m in the blue one. ISTR that the other guy on our side wasn’t a doper either. Picture 30; I was right. Not a doper. All together now … the cow is not a doper, the cow is not a doper…okay, enough. I have no idea what I was doing in that picture. Picture 31: **Airman Doors** amd **MsRobyn**. Along with, of course, random and assorted **DoperKids** [sup]TM[/sup]. Picture 32: Oh. Dear. God. Okay… **Anita Vacation** and **Theios ‘n’ crew** (I think) to your lower left. **Skulldigger** is in the chair on the far lower right, and **Skerri** and **boyfriend** are walking in her general direction. I’m pretty sure that’s **Disco Stu** in the center of the picture, and I’m equally sure that’s **Attrayant** in the red shirt to their left. The people on the porch are random and assorted **Guests of Jonathan Chance** (i.e. I have NFC who they are in that lighting). There, that wasn’t so bad… Picture 33: **Lucretian3** along with random and assorted **DoperKids** [sup]TM[/sup]. Picture 34: **Lucretia** and **Bluesman** are seated, with me behind **Lucretia** ’s hair and **Neidhart** sitting on the steps behind us. If I were a betting man I’d bet that’s **Hamdryad** ’s hair far right, but I’m not sure. Picture 35: Our Valiant Host makes his first pictorial appearance! Here he seems to be doing something related to a band. Aren’t you all so much the wiser for me telling you that? Picture 36: I _think_ that’s **Attrayant** with his back to the camera (so inconsiderate of him not to know a picture was being taken feet behind him. I say you take him off the guest list, **JC** ;)). **Keith Berry** appears to be beside the woman in cami pants. No idea about anyone else (I’m slipping, I know). Picture 37: **Theios** and at least one of her girlfriends. I think, actually, both. **Skulldigger** ’s a little bit away, no doubt having saved a seat for **Polycarp**. No identifiable dopers in the rest. Page 4. Picture 38: No dopers, but **Sister Chance** (not a nun) is in the shirt with funky print on it. I think it said something like “inherited millionaire”, but it’s impossible to tell from that picture (and was damn near impossible to read anyway). Picture 39: **Jonathan Chance** is the only doper I recognize in this picture. Picture 40: **GingeroftheNorth** , **Weirddave** , **hamadryad** and **Neidhart**. Was this before or after the discussion of anal sex involving **Opalcat** using every euphemism possible for “vagina” but discussing anal sex as if it were sliced bread? Picture 41: I think that’s **Lucretian1** behind the tree, but I _know_ that **Lucretia** and **Bluesman** are sitting down on the far left with **Lucretian3** in her lap. That’s **moi** (“moy”, for those who think I grew fabulous breasts and wore a halfway-backless dress to this dig) with **Attrayant** sitting on the ground and **Skulldigger** sitting in an actual seat. Picture 42: Random and assorted **DoperKids** [sup]TM[/sup]. Picture 43: Disco Stu. Picture 44: I think that’s **GingeroftheNorth** sitting in front of Cami Pant Girl sup[/sup], and there’s **Skerri** amd **boyfriend** laughing at something, or someone, or summat, I dunno. Maybe they dare mock the mystical, magical balloon animal being held or created (or summat) by **Hamadryad**. **Neidhart** sits at attention for some reason. Picture 45: **Keith Berry** and assorted non-dopers. Picture 46: Same. Picture 47: **Baby Kate** being read to by someone I am assuming is her grandmother. Picture 48: Random and assorted **DoperKids** [sup]TM[/sup] with someone’s mother. Picture 49: I think that’s **that\_darn\_cat** in the background. No other dopers. Page 5. Picture 50: **Lucretian2** seems to have corrupted my brother **alloran the newly unbanned** (not his actual screen name) to the point where … how is this even possible? He is not reading a book! **fizzestothetop** is smiling at the camera (after all this time I finally realized there’s something about 5 feet behind me all the time that’s amusing!) and **boyfriend** just got done showing me how to flip someone off in an almost-dead dialect of Yugoslavian (during a bombing raid in the late 90s, the majority of those who “spoke” the dialect, which is mostly hand signs, lost their hands. The dialect’s kinda mostly died out since then, but **boyfriend** went on a Mission from God to give them prostheses). Picture 51: No dopers. Picture 52: **Lucretian1** , **Bluesman** , **Lucretia** and **Keith Berry** all look amused. I bet **Airman Doors** did something to his nose… Picture 53: **Theios** eats. Dog’s interest is piqued. Coincidence? I think not. Picture 54: **Jonathan Chance** pledges alliegance to something while a member of Disco Stu looks on. Picture 55: ::deep breath:: Or maybe not … **Wendell Wagner** ’s showed up, in the khakis and grey-ish shirt, and **Neidhart** is looking off somewhere. **GingeroftheNorth** is looking the opposite way (you were hoping for a story about Yugoslavian hand dialects again? Pah.). Picture 56: **Wendell** moves on … to lean slightly more forward. **LucretianX** is standing holding a plate. I call it … “Still Life … with Chili” Picture 57: Mmmmm … watermelon. Oh, and some alcohol too, I think. Picture 58: **hamadryad** can be seen here in her native habitat with **hamafriend**. Picture 59: **Lucretian3** amd **Baby Kate**. Picture 60: **Lucretian3** realizes there is a camera. **Baby Kate** cares not. Picture 61: **boyfriend** appears to be doing to Macarena in Yugoslavian. Page 6. Picture 62: Ah! A … thing … of some … kind. **Baby Kate** ’s interest is piqued. **Lucretian3** ’s is not. Picture 63: On the far right, we see **Lucretian1** standing, **Bluesman** and **Lucretia** sitting, **boyfriend** apparently doing the slow version of the yugoslavian macarena, and … a buncha other random folks. Picture 64: Evidently I missed **Wendell Wagner** ’s left leg showing in Picture 63, because here it is here. Picture 65: That’d be **ultrafilter** chugging what looks like a Yuengling, and **Lucretian2** on some mind-altering substance because … that’s … my brother **alloran the newly unbanned** (not his actual screen name) with his arm around her. Also pictures is **fizzestothetop** and me. Not **moi** , me. Got it? Good:) **Baby Kate** can also be seen wearing a lovely train of some sort of material. Oh, also random and assorted **DoperKids** [sup]TM[/sup]. Picture 66: Same as before. Note the stairstep-like appearance of the couchdwellers. Note the strained look on **Lucretian2** ’s face. I bet that drug **alloran the newly unbanned** (not his actual screen name) gave her is starting to wear off … or make her queasy. Also pictured: random and assorted **DoperKids** [sup]TM[/sup]. Picture 67: Same as 64, but with New and Improved **Jonathan Chance** for added sensation! Picture 68: **Edward the Head** is walking. There are other people in the picture too. Some of them were in picture 67 (don’t mind me, just regenerating Fresh Thought Maker. I should be back to my “normal” self by picture 70 or so). Picture 69: Boggle, Boggle, toil and troggle! Fire burn and cauldron … goggle? No, really. Boggle. **Captain Amazing** joins the ranks of the Teenager … ish. **Lucretian2,3** pictures along with **alloran the newly unbanned** (not his actual screen name) and **Skulldigger**. I would join them the next round and proceed to trounce all. Picture 70: **Sister Chance** (not a nun) and **Jonathan Chance** discuss the metaphysical relationship of the Holy Spirit and Cthulu with a member of Discu Stu. Picture 72: “Hmm … I’d have to say up the butt, Bob.” Well, okay, not [sub]hey, stop hitting me![/sub]. But **moi** (that’s “moy”, not me) does look thoughtful. The other person in this picture has eyes and is using them. Page 7. Picture 73: **Airman Doors** looks at something oddly. Maybe he has a mirror…also, **Jonathan** and **Sister Chance** (not a nun) look at each other while Member of Disco Stu thinks she’s being squooshed. Picture 74: Everyone smile for the camera, now… Picture 75: Either someone just gave **Airman Doors** a wild turkey or he’s about to sneeze:D Picture 76: **Theios** along with **Opalfriend** , and in between is a guy who doesn’t mind one bit. To their left (our right) is Friend of Nate17 along with, I believe, **Teletron1** and **Wendell Wagner**. Picture 77: How do you keep 7 idiots busy for an hour? Have them play Egyptian Ratscrew with a Pinnochle deck! Meanwhile, myself (not “moy”), **Opalcat** , **Edward the Head** , **Lucretian1** and Friends of Nate16 and17 enjoy the game. Well, except for our hands. Picture 86: **Airman Doors** hard at work molding beef with which to reshape his nose. Okay, not. He actually spent a considerable amount of time cooking up Philly Cheesesteaks for us all:) He’s a big Eagles fan, he is… Picture 87: Friend of Nate17 has left for the time being, but the rest of the crew remains. **Lucretian2** seems to have gotten too tired to fend off **alloran the newly unbanned** (not his actual screen name). Picture 88: With one final heave, she allows herself more than a half-inch of breathing room. Otherwise same crew as before. Picture 89: I think they wre playing Spades, which I think is similar to Hearts. I think the only doper in this shot is **Teletron1**. Okay. That’s 80 pictures captionized (or whatever the verb is.
