Movie backlash besides Juno and Crash

Exactly. The Twilight movies were never critically acclaimed – looking at Rotten Tomatoes now I see that none of them have even made 50% fresh with critics – and it’s not my impression that they’ve managed to capture the hearts of many people who weren’t already fans of the series. So there’s been no backlash from the critics or general public because these people never liked the movies to begin with, and there doesn’t seem to have been much backlash from Twilight fans either as they appear to be generally happy with the movies.

The correct demonym is “Parisians”.

Don’t forget:
Bridge on the River Kwai (1957)
Midway (1976)
Battle of Britain (1969)
The Bridge at Remagen (1969)
And for a change of pace, Kelly’s Heroes (1970)

Oh, I absolutely love that one! I think that was the first WWII movie I ever saw, way back when.

What’s great about these is that they were all made in a period where we recognized that war wasn’t all Glory, but before war was always reviled as being 100% “the EVIL”. Note that A Bridge Too Far is starting to show that last.
