Thank you. I think my embarrassment was due in part to it’s having occurred in a post in which I was attempting to defend my intelligence, and to the fact that **Eve** has entered the thread and I felt sure she would have taken note. I fear the estimable **Eve** cares not for me a whit, but I have regard for her and prefer not to earn her scorn needlessly. My political and philosophical postings do a good enough job of that as it is. But thank you for your solicitude. It is appreciated. ---

**Andy** , I’m as much as a faker as **Starvers**. I’ve never seen the film. What’s more, I lost what little interest I had in motorbikes when I hopped on one (just 125CC) in Phuket and promptly fell off at the first junction, having jammed on the brakes when I was trying to change gear. Or vice versa. I did get round the island eventually, but my next lesson was even more painfu. A T-shirt’s not the best apparel when it’s 90+ degrees. ---
