Well shit **flano1** , rather than starting a new thread with the exact same title, mind if I piggyback off of this one?
Mine would’ve been on TV (quite likely a movie showing on HBO) sometime in that 1978 - 1981 range, I believe.
All I have to go on is a vague memory of it being in and around a backyard swimming pool. A pretty girl frolicking around in the pool while a transistor radio plays from the deck of the pool (plugged into an electrical socket somewhere around, apparently).
At the same time, an older (well probably my age now) guy in a suit, standing near the edge of a pool, with his foot placed near the radio.
They’re having a conversation, and getting into it about something. Camera on her talking, then on him talking, then on his foot nudging the radio a few inches nearer to the pool. Camera on her, then on him, then on his foot nudging the radio a few more inches nearer to the pool. Repeat that sequence a couple more times, and finally the radio drops into the pool and it’s game-over for the pretty girl, and guy in suit turns and walks away.
Maybe this was an episode of a “Dynasty”-ish nighttime soap opera, but I doubt it? My memory seems like it was a little too “graphic” for that. And I feel like I have the timeframe right, in that I would’ve been around 7 - 10 yrs old, and it was one of my first “scary movie scene” experiences.
Oh and no offense taken if you can’t come up with this one in 9 minutes or less, but thank you for taking a shot at any guesses. Your memory is probably better than mine at this point.
