The mention of the movie _Popeye_ over in the Forgotten Movies thread reminded me of how often I stop myself from singing out loud “and he’s LARGE” (sung by Olive Oyl about Bluto, iirc). ---

Another Simpsons quote, frequently used: “The term ‘unblowuppable’ is thrown around a lot these days…” Not pround of how often Malcolm Tucker quotes slip out. “Christ on a bendy bus!” is my exasperated exclamation of choice. When I met Peter Capaldi, he wrote that on the headshot he autographed. And I’ve been known to describe someone as “useless as a marzipan dildo.” (which, in my office, barely raised an eyebrow). ---

Heh, _Lawrence of Arabia_ was on TCM tonight, and I made my sweetie stay up long enough to see the best line in it for the hundredth or so time. I’ve used it when someone has turned my logic back upon me. “Thy mother mated with a scorpion.” I’ve had to apologize and explain a couple of times, but it’s usually been genial.
