Movies set mostly or entirely in Central America 1. Salvador 2. The Honorary Consul 3. Mosquito Coast 4. Across the Pacific But they never make it to the Pacific in the film. Most of the action takes place in the Canal Zone. Interesting tidbit - the premise was originally about a Japanese plot to attack Hawaii, but the real Pearl Harbor attack occurred during filming, so the fictional attack target was switched to the Panama Canal. > [@Spoons](#): > > Most boring film I’ve ever seen. That’s too bad - the book was very good, and IIRC, was set in Paraguay and Argentina, not Central America. ---
