Wikipedia’s entry on the film is all over the place on what its budget was, apparently depending on what’s included, and who’s being quoted (but, regardless, it was certainly a low-budget film). Two quotes:

> [@](#):
>
> In an interview with _[Entertainment Weekly](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Entertainment_Weekly)_ , Sánchez revealed that when principal photography first wrapped, approximately $20,000 to $25,000 had been spent.[[17]](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Blair_Witch_Project#cite_note-Q&A-17) [Richard Corliss](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Richard_Corliss) of _[Time](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Time_(magazine))_ magazine reported a $35,000 estimated budget.[[23]](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Blair_Witch_Project#cite_note-23) By September 2016, _The Blair Witch Project_ has been officially budgeted at $60,000.[[26]](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Blair_Witch_Project#cite_note-26)

> [@](#):
>
> Post-production fees increased the cost of the film to several hundred thousand dollars before its Sundance debut and, after marketing costs, the total cost of the film has been estimated as ranging between $500,000 and $750,000.[[17]](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Blair_Witch_Project#cite_note-Q&A-17)[[30]](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Blair_Witch_Project#cite_note-season-30)
