**Movies where an Actor from the Original Was Also in the Remake** 1. The Thomas Crown Affair (Faye Dunaway) 2. Moby Dick (Gregory Peck) 3. Thunderball / Never Say Never Again – _Sean Connery_ **Never Say Never Again** (1983) was basically a remake-by-court-order of **Thunderball** (1965), using the same plotline of SPECTRE stealing two nuclear warheads and then threatening to detonate them if a ransom was not paid. Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1956/1978) ( Kevin McCarthy) McCarthy, who played the lead in the 1956 original, had a cameo in the 1978 remake, paying hommage to his “You’re Next!” warning rant at the end of the original film (with a much different outcome!) ---

Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1956/1978) ( Kevin McCarthy) 5. Red Dust / Mogambo (1932 & 1953) Clark Gable Gable not only appeared in both, he played the same character (but with a different name and occupation) . The setting was also moved from Indochina to Africa ---
