Just curious, but wouldn’t ‘Superman’ (real name either Kal-El or Clark Kent) or ‘Batman’ (real name Bruce Wayne) be titles or nicknames, not actual names?

IMO Batman and Superman are alter egos and not just nicknames. I would say those fit the category.

Those are the names that everyone knew them by and called them. Very few people knew them by any other name. If we object to those then we must also revisit Major Payne and Doctor Strange, where Major and Doctor are a rank/title/honorific, not a name.
