# Movie Misunderstandings - Top This!

How about a TV misunderstanding? It took me getting through about 3/4 of the episodes of “Da Ali G Show” before I realized all three characters were played by the same person. I thought it was Sacha Baron Cohen playing Ali G and two other guys playing Borat and Bruno. When the lightbulb finally went on and I said something to my husband about it, he was like … well, DUH!

I had the same problem with [The Last Kiss](http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0434139/). I mean, it’s got Zach Braff in it, for goodness’ sakes! OK, it wasn’t as dark as _Deliverance_, but it was no _My Best Friend’s Wedding_.

I watched “Close Encounters of the Third Kind” thinking that the guy who was translating for Francois Truffant and the Richard Dreyfus character were the same guy. I figured it was flashbacks but I couldn’t figure out which were the flashbacks. I didn’t realize my error til I saw them together near the end.
