> To me though one of the scariest scenes was the one in which the two guys were fishing for the shark, with the roast. You never see the beast but the suspense is amazing. The dock is going out to sea, _then it turns around_.No blood, nobody gets hurt, but my heart almost stopped. Fantastic filmmaking.

You mark my words, we’ll be hearing from this Spielberg kid again.

> Sure, it was in _Episode IV and 1/2_, where Luke has to track the corvette down after it is stolen from his shop class. He finds it in sin filled desert town on a small obscure planet…

I understood that reference.

When I think of movie theater scenes, it is about the visuals or the sound, but I think [this one](https://youtu.be/s2hM1tyEL0U?si=Czl0ZrI-vMOWIWPA&t=89) would qualify because in the theater the sudden silence was almost oppressive given the score in the previous scene and the visual in the scene itself.

I think I’ve mentioned it before, but there’s a story in Charlton Heston’s autobiography that I like. In 1966 he was in northern California filming a movie titled The War Lord. He said a teenager kept sneaking onto the set, and kept getting thrown out, until it was decided to let him stay Kid wasn’t bothering anybody, he just wanted to watch the movie being made. It was Spielberg of course. Heston said he never worked for him but he compared him to Cecil B. DeMille, whom he had worked with. He said they both had their finger on the pulse of what American’s would go to see in a movie.
