# Movie music question

I am trying to identify a movie based only on the use of a song.

Can anyone tell me what movie uses the Jimmy Webb song “The Moon is a Harsh Mistress” somewhere towards the end of the movie?

There is no movie listed on the [IMDB](http://www.imdb.com/SearchSongs?moon%20is%20a%20harsh%20mistress) that used that song (at least, as credited).

You might try looking at Jimmy WEbb’s IMDb entry and see if any of the movie titles there look familiar. According to Wikipedia he’s done some movie scores.

Also you could try fan sites or forums. Those people know every little bit of trivia about their guy!

IMDB has only narrowed it down some. I tried looking for soundtrack for the movies where no specific song title was given, without any luck. I guess i will have to try a fan site.

Actually, [IMDB](http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0067116/combined) has a Jimmy Webb entry for the song “Everyone’s Gone To The Moon” for the movie “French Connection”. Is that it?

No, the song apparently was named after Robert A. Heinleins 1966 novel “The Moon is a Harsh Mistress” and was released on his “El Mirage” album, though several other people have recorded it also.
