OK [We have this other thread,](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=623455) but it is about quotes you do use in everyday life when the occasion arises. But, if you’re like me, and I’m awesome, you have a set of movie quotes ready to use, but the occasion just hasn’t come up. Frustrating isn’t it? For me, I’ve always wanted a real occasion to use the phrase, “Quick! The game’s afoot and we haven’t a moment to lose!” Sadly, I’m hardly ever coming across key clues that lead me to my nemesis but only if I act quickly. I think the last time I did use it was when hurrying to return a VHS to blockbuster before midnight to avoid the late fee, so, it’s been awhile. I also would love to use, “I know it was you Fredo, you broke my heart” but I’m hardly ever betrayed or when I am I don’t know who did it. I suppose if I found out who was betraying me I could use both quotes in one day. So do you have any special reserve quotes? ---

I DO use this one in real life sometimes, though i’ve never found an occasion where i’ve really been able to follow through with it; “I have come here to chew bubblegum and kick ass. And I am all out of bubblegum.” ---

“Contemplate this on the tree of woe.” I’ve said it once or twice. It lacks something when you don’t follow through with an actual tree crucifixion. If I’m ever in a position to order someone to be crucified you can bet I’ll take this pony out for a trot. ---
