I thought of this while watching _Play Misty For Me_ the other night. I decided I really liked Clint’s Big Sur Ocean View pad with center patio and garden. Nothing too fancy. Then I wondered about which house / apartment / whatever from a movie I would most like to live in. I’ve narrowed it down to the following: [ul] [li] Pierce Brosnan’s house in Martinique from _The Thomas Crown Affair_[/li][li] The **Disco Volante** from _Never Say Never Again_ (since it’s nicer than the DV from _Thunderball_)[/li][li] James Caan’s Kauai vacation home from _Honeymoon in Vegas_[/li][/ul] So which movie residence would you most enjoy? (For the sake of this thread I’ve obviously forgone thinking about my current job, house, etc. Let’s just presume we can afford to live there). ---

The Tennenbaums’ brownstone from _The Royal Tennenbaums_ was the first thing I thought of. If not that, then the house from _A Tale of Two Sisters_, a Korean movie. You can tour it [here](http://www.twosisters.co.kr). ---

According to the FOTR EE Director’s Commentary, Jackson was so enamored of the Bag End built for the movie that he talked New Line into letting him keep it – he packed it up and apparently it’s in storage near his home in New Zealand. He talked half-jokingly about finding some hill somewhere and burrowing space out for his own real-life hobbit hole. ---

I think the glass house in the 2002 remake of Thirteen Ghosts (sans ghosts and Satanic device, of course) is really really neato. But I’d hire someone else to do the windows, of course. ---

In one throwaway scene in _Monty Python and the Holy Grail_, John Cleese happens across Castle Anthrax, which is filled with comely young women who feel themselves in need of a good spanking. Yeah, I can picture taking some extended vacations there. ---

the **Fight Club** house on Paper st, before its done up even. Minas Tirith doesnt look too shabby either (before they start flinging huge pieces of masonry at it obviously) The Shopping mall in **Dawn of the Dead**. I always wanted my own fully stocked abandoned Mall. ---

For one’s college years, the Delta House (prior to the fraternity’s eviction from campus, that is) from **Animal House**. Some of the bedrooms are small, but, oh, the atmosphere, the cameraderie… But when you get a little older and a little more successful, a pad like Gwynneth Paltrow & Michael Douglas’ apartment in **A Perfect Murder** is more apropos. ---
