I just took your first two posts (after the OP) as gospel. I assumed you meant that his movies would do well because he had hosted and starred with a lot of other hosts. My bad. ---

I was researching in another window and thinking out loud while I was composing my posts here. I had originally assumed that both Guest and Eugene Levy had hosted – and was surprised to learn that they had not. ---

The winner has got to be Robert Altman’s **The Player** with a total of 18 former hosts: Karen Black Gary Busey James Coburn Teri Garr Jeff Goldblum Elliott Gould David Alan Grier Buck Henry Anjelica Huston Sally Kellerman Andie MacDowell Malcolm McDowell Burt Reynolds Tim Robbins Patrick Swayze Lily Tomlin Robert Wagner Bruce Willis I think what’s most surprising is how many other people in the film _weren’t_ hosts.
