An inane topic a co-worker and I were discussing… I’d kind of like to see a _Resident Evil/Tomb Raider_ team-up. Let’s see, Alice and Lara kick ass, fall in love, and make out. It’d make MILLIONS! 😃 ---

On a different note… I’d like to see a movie with Eddie Murphy, Robin Williams, and Mike Myers. _Only_ Eddie, Robin, and Mike. Playing all characters. Hell, you wouldn’t even need extras. ---

Barring that, Knight Rider meets Airwolf meets Street Hawk, with a cameo by Blue Thunder. ---

The Vega Brothers, the prequel to Reservoir Dogs and Pulp Fiction that Tarantino talked about making for years (and then got sidetracked to do other projects). Of course it would have to star Michael Madsen and John Travolta. A movie with Jackie Chan, Chow-Yun Fat, and Jet Li as a team of heroes (or perhaps one of them as the villain). This would have to be a Hong Kong production to be good, perhaps with John Woo signed on as director to recapture the magic of his earlier HK films. Agent Sands, Johnny Depp’s character from Once Upon A Time In Mexico, teaming up with Elle Driver, Daryl Hannah’s character from Kill Bill, playing two blind assassins out for revenge. Oh, and how much less would those Matrix sequels have sucked if Matrix: Revolutions ended like this: After the scene of the robots carrying away Neo’s dead body, splayed out Christ-like, we fade away to a virtual reality chamber. NEO (Keanu Reeves) is in a comfy-looking chair with a virtual reality helmet on his head, which he lifts off. He looks around the room, disoriented, and sees the staff going about their business. It is clear he is back in the normal world, and that the last three movies (or at least the last two) were a dream, a fantasy, a simulation. NEO: Whoaaaa. Pan to the next chair, occupied by DOUGLAS QUADE (Arnold Schwarzenegger), who is holding his virtual reality helmet in his lap. QUADE: You think that’s something? I just went to _ **Mars** _! ---

**Joshua** from Lethal Weapon and **Alan Rickman’s in Die Hard**. They’d kick some serious ass. Better yet, **Joshua** and **Al Schwerengen** from Deadwood. Yeah, sociopaths are fun! ---

Yeah, John McLain teams up with Martin Riggs and Roger Murtaugh! The bad guys would so get their asses kicked while the good guys trade wisecracks! How did nobody think of this before? Any other cop heroes we could add? Maybe Frank Drebin? Nah, Riggs would break his arms. ---

I’d LOVE to see John McClane forced into an uneasy alliance with the ass-kicking hero with NO sense of humor, Jack Bauer (the hero of 24, played by Kiefer Sutherland). Bauer is one of the only action heroes I can think of who could take out McClane or Martin Riggs if he had to. All three are tough, but Bauer definitely has the stone-cold killer instinct that the other, more “likeable” heroes seem to lack. Of course, seeing Bauer face off against Hans Gruber (Alan Rickman’s brilliant Die Hard villain, somehow back from the dead) would really complete the package. ---

I would LOVE to see a superhero period piece with an epic backdrop of World War II, but I think too large a roster would never happen due to licensing nightmares. Frankly, I think this would be the best era for a Captain America movie, but doing the Justice Society or All-Star Squadron as a live-action film might be asking a bit much from Hollywood. The comic books that I think would make good movies or TV shows are mostly continuity-free, and could stand on their own without any mentions of any other characters or events. Furthermore, they wouldn’t depend too much on outlandish Spandex costumes or hard-to-capture-with-CGI super powers. Any of the following could easily overcome the “comics are for geeks” stigma and catch on with mainstream audiences.
