_Hairspray_; _The Producers_; _Little Shop of Horrors_; arguably _The Wiz_ and _Dracula_. Are there other examples of a movie being adapted into a play and the play then being adapted into a new movie?

ETA: Damnit to hell, I was all stocked I got to say that one when in fact, it was in the OP.

Chicago was a film back ages ago in 1927 and there was another film later called Roxie Hart. Then it came a musical on Broadway and that musical was adapted for the film Chicago in 2002.

The play “Pygmalion” by George Bernard Shaw was made into a first-rate movie with Leslie Howard and Wendy Hiller in 1938. Then “Pygmalion” was adapted as the musical “My Fair Lady” on Broadway in 1956 by Lerner and Lowe, then made into a movie in 1964.

So you have play to movie to play to movie!

Yeah, but since then, it was made into a movie, and back into a thread.
