Movie trope - beaning someone at a distance with a thrown object

I’m sure this existed before this thread and I’m surprised no one linked to it.

I don’t think that’s the same thing, though. I’m looking for a very specific trope where someone is running away, and someone hurls something at them at a great distance.

From the TVTopes link

In “Crocodile” Dundee, Mick Dundee can hit just about anything he wants precisely. Shown by his knife throw against one of the punk kids and later killing off a security camera feed with a stone.

He threw a can of food at a purse thief from a full NYC block away, and conked him on the head. On a single try. In a VERY heavily crowded sidewalk. And the thief was zig-zaggily running away at top speed. After throwing the first can, he never even thought about throwing a second can as he knew one would be enough. Cue applause.

There are a bunch of examples in that TV trope that don’t match what I was looking for, but I see your point, there are some examples that do.

The Simpsons, again:

The blue haired lawyer and his goons show up on behalf of Disney to sue Skinner for calling the school Fall Festival (or something similar) The Happiest Place On Earth. Seymour mops the floor with them but one of the goons makes a break for it and gets nailed with the briefcase after running a good distance. Skinner makes a Schwarzenegger quip.

That’s it!

My favourite example is this one:

Precision throw, plus the excellent pun at the end!

hahaha You could see the pun coming from miles away, but I still laughed

Especially since it was, y’know, the title of the clip.

Another serious version in Apocalypto. This serious version should probably be a trope all its own - give the good guy and friends an apparent small chance to escape, for the sport of killing them while they are trying. Friends are duly killed, but the good guy actually escapes.

I clicked it without, you know, reading the title, so there you are.
