Far and away my favorite last words are spoken by Lord Kril in the very underappreciated film **The Last Starfighter** as his entire armada is destroyed and his command ship faces its doom: Lord Kril: Damage report! Kodan Officer: Guidance system out. Auxiliary steering out. Lord Kril: Divert! Divert! Kodan Officer: She won’t answer the helm! We’re locked into the moon’s gravitational pull. What do we do? _Kril stands up straight and distinguished and his “auto-monocle” flips over his left eye._ Lord Kril: We die. 🆒 ---
