# Movies... My 9 year old brought home a cute white bunny. At first being a typical dad and parent I said no way about her keeping it. Then I finally said let me see it. So she handed it to me while I was laying on the couch. Well it was soft and cute and everything but it had those “red” eyes which made it look a little evil if you know what I mean. Well I was cool with it until it started up towards my face to get a sniff I guess. I was actually scared for a moment because of, you guessed it, Monthy Python and the Holy Grail’s KILLER RABBIT! I was thinking in a minute this killer bunny is going pull its cheeks back revealing those horrindous bunny fangs teeth whatever and its going bite me on the cheek or worse yet it going to bite off my nose. Then I will be running around the room trying to pull off the killer rabbit while it holds on like a pit bull on a bone. So I look to my 9 year old for wisdom and ask her, “do rabbits bite”? ---

I’m a hellova long ways from 9 but they do bite. Never known one to break the skin though. We’ve probably raised 150 rabbits and sometimes they get this attitude and they will bite. We don’t raise them as pets. They are 4H projects. I assume your daughter has a New Zealand white? They are a nice rabbit and one of the favorites of the commercial rabbitries. Used for medical reasons"the rabbit died" and as broilers. Just whisper a little threat to the rabbit and I’m sure it will behave. Oh, they tell me that they make pretty good pets too. ---

Spoilers for a great piece of truly bad cinema Giant killer rabbits terrorize a small town. Horror ensues. Teens save the day in the silliest manner possible. Stephen King discuss this movie in “Danse Macabre,” especially the part where one of the killers rabbits overturns a vehicle and you can clearly read the word “Tonka” on its undercarriage. ---

We’ve got two rabbits. One black and five pounds, one grey Netherland Dwarf, abotu three pounds. Two happy, fuzzy bunnies. _OF DEATH!!!_ No, seriously, they’re excellent pets and make good companion animals. _OF DEATH!!!_ We do, however, have a large sign on their cage stating “Beware of Attack Rabbit”, and have been known to do the whole “…with BIG,pointy teeth, graagh!” bit when they’re sitting on our laps. ---

Another movie to avoid is “Watership Down”. Sure it’s animated but you will never think of bunnies as cute after watch that one. Keith ---

Beeble, LOL. That reminds of a new comedy that just got released on video called “Tomcats”. ::spoiler alert:: Anyway one of the characters is having trouble getting to a wedding he needs to stop. He wakes up late and he is in his underwear and can’t find his clothes so he gets a furr coat of a chick that is passed out on the floor. He runs through the hotel and accidently goes on stage stepping in a bass fiddle. He grabs a statue(of a dolphin) and uses it to break off the fiddle on his foot smashing the dolphin at the same time. Freed from it turns and sees a bunch of people staring at him. He looks at the marque above and it says “Animal Rights” or something. It was so funny. ---

sadly, I don’t think “Night of the Lepus” is available on tape/dvd etc. I agree it’s a great one. Has DeForest Kelley (Bones) in it, as well as Stuart Whitman and Janet Leigh. Just something about those stampeding bunny scenes… ---

I’d watch it…do NOT let it alone with the cat. Remember, cats are predators. Get a cage for it at first. Please…if you don’t want your daughter to be disturbed a violent scene. Actually, I just don’t want to read about it…eeeek! I do have a cat that LOOKS like a rabbit. Long rabbit legs, thick white fur, little pink nose that twitches…hops and jumps like a rabbit…that’s Noel. Our Easter Bunny.
