After having seen _Titanic_, I was shuffling down the crowded theater aisle, heading for the exit. I overheard this conversation:

WOMAN: Honey, I could’ve sworn I heard you sniffling. Did this movie make you cry?

MAN: Well, yeah, a little. I thought Kate Winslet was gonna drown, and I was thinking “Aw, gee, what a pity. She had such nice boobs.”

How many movies are there about women suffering and dying? If I saw one, I probably would cry over it.

Good lord yes. I rewatch movies all the time (most of my favorite movies get at least a watching every month) and yet I have not been able to go back and watch GotF since I first saw it four years ago. I have no trouble crying at movies (I have at one time or another cried at a good 75% of the movies mentioned here as well as others), but GotF was actually physically painful to watch.

My husband cried on a crowded plane home from Los Angeles while watching _Finding Neverland_, bless his heart.

Southwest Airlines? I saw that same movie on a flight from Los Angeles last October 🙂 I made it out unscathed, though.

Well, **The Seventh Sign** brought a tear to my eye when Demi sacrificed herself for the baby. Oddly enough **She’s Having a Baby** has a similar scene that also got me, when Kristy has complications during delivery.

Nevermind that we’re talking movies here ;), we’re talking about a specific kind of movie. And if you must know, I cried my eyes out after the Zeffirelli _Romeo and Juliet_, okay?

Everybody knows that beneath this cold hard exterior lies a heart of stone…But anyone who can watch the movie “Angus” and not cry has a heart harder than Mrs. Seenidog. And that takes some doing.

Oh, and I almost forgot “Fried Green Tomatoes”. I may well have cried at that movie, but it was so long ago I can’t recall for sure… so, for brownie points, let’s just say that I did. 😉

If I were a guy instead of a girly-girl it’d be Saving Private Ryan and Munich.

Seriously, when Eric Bana talks to his daughter for the first time…man. Any father has got to get a bit choked up at that.

The proper response to women or children suffering and/or dying is blind rage, not sniffles. Hurting chicks ‘n’ munchkins? Ma’am, that’s just wrong…

While it may not be ‘socially acceptable’ to cry at the dreck that was the Notebook, I have never met a man who managed to sit through it and not tear up.

Yes. And we wonder why you mentioned it.

However, it **is** alright to _throw up_ while watching _E.T._

Well played.

I sniffled at _Return of the King_ during one of the endings. (Is it just me, or were there about seven places where that movie could have faded to black and gone with the credits?) I could see _Gump_ or _Private Ryan_ too.

Not only could the movie have ended several times before it did, it actually _did_ fade to black on a few occasions. I wondered if Jackson was screwing with the audience.
