My wife and I quote tons of movies and TV shows, but we usually have a wide selection of quotes from each film or show. However, we have a few movies that only provide us with one quote and sometimes, those aren’t even movies we love all that much. Mine: **A Fish Called Wanda** - [“Disappointed!”](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R2kgjilRSOg) I know, the movie is great and we could honestly quote more lines, but that is the only one we often use. We can’t even say “disappointed” without doing it that way. It was just a great way for Kevin Kline to sum up his feeling of the empty safe. We use it 3-5 times a week it seems. I’m sure I have others, but what about you guys? ---

Personally, I prefer “[Avoid the green ones, they’re not ripe yet](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MuWwCUXGzWE)” As for a (well, another) movie I could quote line for line, but do have a favorite (and really obscure) line, from Monty Python and The Holy Grail…“[What, The Curtains?](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=utuchVE_56M)”. The reason I like it so much is because I work in the family business, been working there for a _long_ time. Most of our regular customers know that I work there and know the owner is my father. From time to time someone will say ‘one day this will all be yours’, I think maybe one time in 20+ years someone got the joke when I said ‘what, the curtains?’. ---

After seeing that movie, I found it pretty easy to shoehorn that second line into lots of other places. Anytime someone says ‘this is the worst \_\_\_\_\_ ever’, you can remind, when no, it’s actually ‘the worst [thanksgiving/christmas/date/event] _so far_’. I’d imagine it would play itself out pretty quickly though. ---

I like to say that people and things “vex me so!” when I am annoyed. It is from the 1995 BBC Production of Pride & Prejudice. Which is the only screen version that exists in MY world. 😃 ---
