One notable exception is 1945’s _Picture of Dorian Gray_, where they actually commissioned a Great Artist, [Ivan Albright](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ivan_Albright), to paint the after [portrait](https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/4/49/The_Picture_of_Dorian_Gray-_Ivan_Albright.jpg). The original hangs at the Art Institute of Chicago.
