Wonder Woman
Interestingly - well, it interested me - both The Caves of Steel and The Naked Sun were adapted for TV in the mid-sixties by the BBC. (The Naked Sun ran as part of the Out of the Unknown* SF series).
Sadly, AFAIK, there are no surviving copies of either programme.
Isn’t Bicentennial Man one of the stories from I, Robot?
But I don’t know if Asimov and Clarke’s optimistic view of the future would sell well as a movie. Stories that are skeptical of science and technology seem to be more popular. Given that, I think any of the novels by Stanislaw Lem would do well - e.g. The Invincible, Fiasco, or Eden. Memoirs Found in a Bathtub would make an interesting movie too.
On a different note, has anyone made a movie based on Lance Armstrong’s life? He’s already written a good book about his battle with cancer, and someone must have the movie rights.
As mentioned, someone is already making a movie of this crappy book. I think Crichton does in fact write his crappy books specifically to be easily converted into scripts.
I’ve tried to imagine a movie version of Gravity’s Rainbow. Probably impossible.
Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand would be interesting.
They should do one about a futuristic amusement park where dinosaurs are brought to life through advanced cloning techniques. They could call it Billy and the Cloneasourus.
Another Simpsons reference
Ooh… Dreampark! aka Westworld, only with holograms!
I don’t know if this thread was meant for science fiction, but I always thought Gore Vidal’s Burr would make a great movie.
The Illuminatus Trilogy
I’ve heard rumors, but I’m not going to hold my breath. They were going to make a movie based on Greg LeMond and it never even got to script stage.
Feh.

Nuff said.
More Flashman movies. There was Royal Flash back in '75, starring Malcolm Macdowell, but there needs to be more.
There needs to be a movie version of Hellblazer. I want to see which actor can possibly pull off John Constantine.
There also needs to be movies based on Donald Westlake’s Dortmunder books, but not as a vehicle for Martin Lawrence. It’d also be cool to see more movie versions of Elmore Leonard books like Pagan Babies. I envision Jason Lee and Jeneane Garafolo in the title roles.
