# Movies that would be better without the final ten minutes (yup, it's SPOILED)

Yeah and at the end of ROTJ, the universe should have imploded.

You know people, downer endings would get on your nerves as much as fluffy endings if every director ended his movie with them.

I disagree about Saving Private Ryan.

If we think about all of the WWII era films, there is a lot less of the “War is hell” mentality.

For those of us who have never been through it, it is easy to imagine that WWII was some kind of adventure, and war starting sucking in Korea and Vietnam.

For me, the bookends remind us of the scars that our fathers and grandfathers have been carrying around all of these years, and that the war they were in sucked just as much as any other war.

A huge portion of my father’s generation went through that crap, and came back home and pretty much just went back to work building this nation. That’s pretty remarkable. And for me, that is what the entire film is about. Without those scenes, it’s just a movie about shooting people.

The remake of Psycho ends in the most ridiculous scene ever put on film. Oh, look - birds! I get it! How very clever.

Brondicon, I agree. AI should have ended with Haley Joel drunk.

Even though it was a pretty crappy movie, **The Postman** should have cut that dorky ceremony at the end.

“Yay, everybody! The world is back to normal now!”
