The non-existence of those movies is due to Zeus loving us. Admittedly I would prefer if he showed his love by, I don’t know, curing all the cancer patients, or placing 20 million dollars in unmarked valid us currency in my bedroom just before I get home, but we have to take what we can get.
A few years ago there was publicity about making a movie with Britney Spears and NASCAR…even had her at the Pepsi 400 talking about it.
I remember watching on E! some 10+ years ago they went to a casting call for a movie parody of the tv series “Beverly Hills 90210.” The presumptive name was “9021-OH!” They showed several Jason Priestly looking people showing up hoping to get a role, and they even talked to the girl who would have played the Shannen Doherty character. Looks like it never made it past that point, though.
I thought Phantasm IV- Oblivion was supposed to be the end of the series. It did seem to feature the apocalyopse. It is also one of the creepiest movies I have ever seen.
Nobody promised, but I want to see it. Anyone know what’s happening with John Woo’s production of Rendezvous in Black? Does the info in the link mean that the movie’s been made but not released?
Doctor Detroit II: The Wrath of Mom. Maybe once Ghostbusters 3 is done.
The Wayans Bros. Munsters movie appears to be dead, thankfully.
I would have liked to see Conan the King, foretold in the prologue of the first. Now Arnie is close to the age where he wouldn’t need makeup to look old. Who knows, it may still happen.
The earliest time I can remember hearing about a film, my interest being piqued, and then it never getting past step one, was back in around 1990, of Goldilocks and the Three Bears; set in a modern, urban setting, with Michelle Pfeiffer as Goldilocks, and Bob Hoskins, Danny DeVito, and Phil Collins as the three bears. It just sounded intriguing.
Anyone remember the tiny bit of pub about the Beastie Boys movie, “Scared Stupid?” This would’ve been around 1988, IIRC. I loved (and still do) the Beastie Boys, and as a zitfaced teen, desperately wanted to see this…

Speaking of potential trainwrecks.
